We started keeping our own sheep 14 years ago and I couldn’t see the beautiful Jacob fleeces going to waste, so I learnt how to spin. Ever since I have enjoyed processing a variety of fleeces and spinning them for my own pleasure and in groups.

I was lucky enough to learn how to long draw spin and would love to teach as many new people as possible this wonderful method of spinning. I am also happy to teach other methods and styles of spinning. Each lesson can be tailored to you.

We grow many varieties of plants suitable for dyeing within our established gardens. It started when a weld plant self seeded into the garden and I was very excited to find it. Since then the number of dye plants have continued to increase and I am constantly experimenting with new combinations and seeing what plants grow well and give good results. I look forward to sharing my knowledge with you.
